KENT PEDERSEN

LEAD PASTOR

Pastor Kent Pedersen joined the HFN church family in June 2015 as Lead Pastor. He and his wife, Heather, were married in 1996. Heather is a 2nd grade teacher for the last six years at Nickerson Elementary. Kent and Heather have two daughters, Raegan a senior and Rylie a sophomore, at Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, IL.

Pastor Kent graduated from MidAmerica Nazarene University in 1995 with a B.A. in Psychology and that is where he also met Heather (’96). He earned his Masters in Ministry from Point Loma Nazarene University in 2007 and was ordained that same year in the Church of the Nazarene. The Pedersen’s ministry journey has led them through stays in Council Bluffs, IA as well as Visalia, Rocklin, Patterson, and Bakersfield, CA.

The Pedersens enjoy walking, hiking, playing games as a family, traveling (especially to Florida, Michigan, and Colorado), and their furry friends, Mollie, a one-year-old Golden Retriever, and two cats, Mykie and Mozzie. Pastor Kent is a proud Denver Bronco and Kansas Jayhawk basketball fan.
